Fibroblast treatment can sound like a myth. This treatment promises a relatively easy process to reduce excess skin. A fibroblast skin treatment also offers minimum downtime for recovery and an extremely affordable cost when compared to surgical methods used to achieve the same goal. You can even continue to see results as time goes on.
With all of these promises, you may be asking yourself a couple of questions; is it true and how does it work? We are here to say that it most definitely does work. There are hundreds of fibroblast treatment before and after photos to back that claim up. Below is one before and after photo for you to see the results for your own eyes.
How Fibroblast Skin Tightening Works
How on earth could these results be possible? Fibroblast skin tightening treatments lift and tighten the skin by activating your fibroblast cells. These cells can be found in the dermis. The reason why this works so well for anti-aging efforts is that fibroblast cells can create high levels of collagen and elastin. You may have already heard a lot about collagen and elastin as they are responsible for tightening your skin and keeping it youthful. Once you have high levels of collagen and elastin, you will begin seeing long-term skin tightening effects immediately.
The fibroblast cells are activated by a handheld device. The fibroblast treatment device uses voltage in the air and the gases that come from our skin to create a plasma charge. An electrical arc is made to reduce any extra skin it is targeted at. Your skin tissue will then shrink and tighten to create an anti-aging effect.
Is It Surgery?
Nope. You might be surprised to hear that fibroblast skin treatment is a natural way to look younger. No incisions, chemicals, or injections are needed for this treatment yet it works just as well, or better than surgical anti-aging procedures. This also explains why the fibroblast treatment has such a relatively low cost. You won’t need to worry about deep scarring or extensive recovery times either.
Issues Fibroblast Skin Tightening Can Help With
- Neck lifts- a fibroblast treatment tightens a sagging neckline without any incisions or surgical work.
- Eyelids- simply by using thermal energy and voltic arches, your eyelids can soon be in a younger state.
- Tummy lifts- fibroblast skin tightening works on larger surfaces too, not just around the face.
- Face lifts- no surgeries needed. You can now get a face lift with a fibroblast treatment.
- Wrinkle softening- this treatment can also help you to simply reduce the look of your wrinkles by softening them.
A fibroblast skin tightening treatment can also help with tattoo removal, scar restoration, lip augmentation, and more. Feel free to contact us at Salon D’ Shayn to see if a fibroblast treatment can help you with your specific needs.
What You Should Know About The Results
Does plasma (fibroblast) skin tightening hurt? Low levels of discomfort have been reported by patients during and after the treatment. Before the treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the targeted skin. The discomfort you feel will not compare to surgical solutions. You can go back to your daily routine right after treatment as it doesn’t damage deep skin layers.
Your skin will be red and slightly swollen for up to 3 days. Minimal redness may be seen up to 3 weeks after the treatment. Carbon crusts will form where the fibroblast treatment tool is applied. Refrain from touching carbon crusts for 5-10 days after your treatment.
How long do fibroblast results take? You will probably be able to see a difference directly after your treatment. You will see full results 8 weeks after your treatment. You may need more treatment sessions depending on the area you wish to tighten. How long does fibroblast treatment last? Your session could take anywhere from 10 minutes to 40. It all depends on the area you are targeting. Your results should last for years.
Is Fibroblast Safe? Side Effects
Yes, a fibroblast treatment is safe. It is nonsurgical and has a low number of side effects. Healing time is fairly low and your results are long-lasting. The main side effects are a burning sensation after treatment and carbon crusts around the area.
Carbon crusts (the dots around the targeted area) should be left alone for the next week or so. Your certified technician will give you exact instructions on aftercare that you should follow for best results.
The tingling or burning sensation you may feel can be treated by using ibuprofen and an ice pack. The burning sensation should feel similar to a sunburn.
Contraindications
It’s important that you are in good health for your treatment. If you are sick, go ahead and reschedule the appointment. If you have a preexisting health condition, a fibroblast treatment might not be the best option for you. So, if you have diabetes, healing disorders, or lymphatic draining issues do not participate in this form of treatment. If you have a pacemaker, please look into skin tightening alternatives.
Look and see if you have any inflammation around the skin you wish to treat. You won’t want to go through with the fibroblast treatment if you have had any swelling soon before the procedure. It’s recommended to reschedule if you have a sunburn or recent suntan. If you know that you are prone to keloid scars, this is not your ideal treatment.
Be sure to look out for any signs of cold sores. Any outbreak of the Herpes Simplex Virus should result in rescheduling. If you know that you have this virus, see your doctor for a prescription for Valtrex so you have time to take it before and after any fibroblast treatment around your lips.
People with hyperpigmentation should look into other anti-aging alternatives. A fibroblast treatment is recommended for people with light-medium skin tones. People with darker complexions will be at risk for hyperpigmentation.
A fibroblast skin tightening treatment is not for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have eyelash extensions, have them removed before treatment.
